Updates updates updates

I'm reporting this blog from my classroom today! Everything has been up and functioning as of now. I was finally able to log onto my wiki and do some classwork I wasn't able to do a few days ago.
The teacher's not here today so it's kind of a free day, but we do have some questions to fill out on our mini games today.

What's with all these troubles?

So I'm updating my blog from home today, and I have a feeling I will be doing it tomorrow. Monday we didn't really have get any work accomplished because the computers were done. The only thing we did was finalize our min games...again. Some people didn't really need it, but I think our team did.
I don't know what's up with those computers, but this is getting a little ridiculous. I still can't log onto my wiki either! We've tried everything and for some reason the computer I'm on just won't let me do it. I wish we could get new computers, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I Win!...but there's still a problem...

My minigame assighnment is finally finished. I was able to add the wolf and it's effect along with the score board! It was really easy to finish once I got the bunny to move. Now I'm trying to add another symbol, the pizza, to the game. It moves just like the carrot, but has the effects of the wolf. I attempted to get it right yesterday, but I couldn't get it to move. Hopefully today I'll be able to get it sorted out.
There is one major problem I'm having that's outside of the mini game. I still cannot log into my wiki. It's been about a couple of weeks since it started doing this, and no matter what we do it still won't let me log in. We rebooted the computer, requested a new password, and made sure that all the information was being typed in correctly. I haven't updated my learning logs in forever, I can do them at home however. I just need to stop being so lazy and forgetful and do it there I guess...

BREAK THROUGHS!!

Yesterday was a very exciting day! I finally got the bunny to move by using the up key on my flash mini game project! It took me forever to find it out and even though I had the right script it wouldn't work. Finally I just took off the bunny layer and put it back on. It's weird though, because I name it correctly and every thing, but it just wouldn't work. Maybe you had to put the code on before the layer? I don't know, but I got it to work and maybe I won't have as many problems now.

A Bunch of Bad Computers

The computers we use in our class are horrible. I think I've heard that they're over 9 years old and the way they run I would believe it. It takes flash about 10 minutes to load on some if you're lucky, I can't log onto my wiki on the one I use, some lose internet connection with no reason.
It's not just our class that's having trouble with them either. The year book staff use these computers and most of them aren't even hooked up to the printer. I'm told it's a battle every day.
Our teacher has asked for new computers, but was rejected for some reason. We really would benifit from having new computers.

It's been a while....

Last week I didn't publish any blogs on this website. I guess I'll have to post four this week to make up for it. Any ways a recap of last week. We started using flash. We were given a step by step instructions to follow to introduce us to it. I managed to get the carrot to move and loop accross screen and I was working on trying to get the bunny to move when you push the up arrow key, but I'm having trouble with it.
I feel like I'm far behind since I wasn't here Friday and had computer troubles on Monday, but if I work hard I should be able to catch up no problem!

Interupted Week

Our homecoming week is this week and it's been interesting. Unfortunatly since we didn't have any school Monday and we won't be in this class tomorrow or Friday we've only had two weeks to work. There's a lot more stuff I wish I could have got done, but I guess I'm just going to have to work a little harder to get through...

Sooo maaannyy cchaannggeess

So yesterday we grouped back together to talk about the games we were going to make. Our ideas have totally changed. It went from a pretty complex game with like six different characters and ten levels to a simple eight-bit graphiced game. We have a little bit of a plot going, but I don't want to post anything about it until it's final.

Globaloria is....

When this year started I had no idea what Globaloria was. When I found out it dealt with blogs and wiki's I thought it was going to be intertaining and easy, but then we were told that we were going to be making a game. I got pretty pumped about this class after that. What I've learned and seen has been very interesting and I still have pretty good feelings about this class. I'm really excited to actually start on the game, but there's also a little feling of doubt that I can do it in the back of my head.
The games we reviewed the past couple of days varied between good and bad. While on most games the graphics were just bland 2D graphics, some of the racing games had some very nice graphics(even though I saw no educational value in it). Some games I don't think were finished like Zeitgeist. I would go through and finish every level, but it wouldn't let me go farther and I would just die. I'm not sure if I was playing it right though, so it might have been me. Then there were some games, like, Ayiti: The Cost of Life, which was pretty complex in programming. Everything effected everything no matter what you did, and there was more than one outcome reached going through different paths.
